Since I haven't posted pictures with Blogger in a while, I forgot they went backwards when posting from their dumb thing instead of posting the pics in the order you pick them. So here, in reverse chronological order, is the Young Minds At Work event at the Cape today. Emma and Paige have gone before but they didn't get to attend this year
because of the soccer camp they're doing all week. Hopefully they'll be able to go to the Family Day in September. Unless something crazy happens that will be the last one before the Shuttle is retired. Since Em and Paige were absent I had room to take the Schrader boys. I think I took Ethan and Will before but this was the first time for Sophia and Noah. Yound Minds at Work is only on the Cape Canaveral side so we didn't get to go see any NASA/Shuttle side stuff today. We should get over there in Spetember for Family Day.
Spoiler Alert: Sophia Won! This was the Build and Race an Edible Car event. They provided lots of food to build a race car and Sophia went up in a bracket against 16 kids. Ethan was on the other side of the bracket and she ended up racing him in the finals. They had the 2 sturdiest cars out there.
O'Doyle Rules! But his car fell apart.

Engineering a masterpiece.

The kids got to control the soccer playing robots that Team Horsepower 801 built. That's the Merritt Island High School robotics team which is partially sponsored by Lockheed.

And Sophia posing with a Pershing Missile. Insert Weird Science quote here.
