We had a pep rally on Thursday. For those of you who are out of the loop, or don't read what I type....I am currently long-term subbing in a first grade class. The original teacher up and left after 3 days so I have been in there for 7 so far...and counting. I am having a great time and learning tons of teaching/planning skills from Schrader. I just call her that at school cuz I don't like calling her Jennifer like everyone else! I would love to stay in this first grade position...but at the same time I really want the PE job. Right now, in Volusia county, all New Hire positions are on freeze. Which means they can't hire any new person. They have to make sure all the displaced teachers have a job first. Pretty much sucks for me but if I were a displaced teacher it probably would not suck! I am very stressed about the whole situation and was near tears just thinking of it all. I am getting so attached to those kids and I believe they are getting used to the way I run things so I would hate to have it all yanked away from them. So that is whay is going on for now...I will update you if I hear anything.

This is me with my cute little first graders. We sang "I'm a Little Rocket" at the rally. Personally, I think we sang the best, but I'm biased!
