Can you have too much Christmas?

I think maybe Christmas has gotten too commercial... Maybe we, as a country, should make an effort to pull back and reflect instead of feed into the frenzy that Christmas has become. Or at least cut back on all of the Christmas program stuff! It's been super busy this year, but here's a batch of pictures from the Sophie Show at the elementary school. I think this is the last of the 452 school functions for this year. You'll have to hound Melissa for the other pictures of other things that are on her camera...

Reindeer says what?

Here is the littlest director telling the kid next to her what he's supposed to be doing.

Rocking it out!

Tiny Santa

Singin'!!!

Quick! Get a shot while the tall kid sitting in front of me is gone!

I was so busy taking pictures I don't even know what song they're doing here.

Ahh... a clue! "Like a diamond in the sky..."

Edgewater Holiday Parade

After the 5K we rushed back because Melissa is so dopey for parades. Even lil' ones like the Edgewater Christmas Parade. At least it's convenient since it runs by the end of our street.

As usual, Blogger has chosen to post all of my pictures in reverse chronological order and I'm too lazy to do anything about it. So up first, here's the guy that ended the parade.

Ole timey fire engine guy.

Sophia sure loves that stinky dog.

Paige is about to lose 2 more teeth. Her top front teeth are both loose.

Why does a dog wear a hat? It's like 85 degrees down here! Oh... plus... he's a dog.

5K for Melissa and Emma

Emma participated in the Girls on the Run program at her school this year. She trained after school with the group and this Saturday morning she ran in a 5K with Melissa. It was the 5th Annual Stonewood Grill Holiday Classic. Em's picture with her friends made the official Race page. They did GREAT and finished at just over 36 minutes. After the race, one of the other parents there asked Melissa if she had run in the race since she wasn't even sweating or out of breath at the end!

Coming to the finish line...

I wouldn't be smiling at the end of a 5K but Melissa manages it.

Crossing at 36:11. The Girls on the Run group started behind the competitive runners began the main race, so it was probably right at 36 minutes for them.
