Emma participated in the Girls on the Run program at her school this year. She trained after school with the group and this Saturday morning she ran in a 5K with Melissa. It was the 5th Annual Stonewood Grill Holiday Classic.
Em's picture with her friends made the official Race page. They did GREAT and finished at just over 36 minutes. After the race, one of the other parents there asked Melissa if she had run in the race since she wasn't even sweating or out of breath at the end!
Coming to the finish line...
I wouldn't be smiling at the end of a 5K but Melissa manages it.
Crossing at 36:11. The Girls on the Run group started behind the
competitive runners began the main race, so it was probably right at 36 minutes for them.
