Soccer Monday

Em had another game tonight and it was my first chance to use my new lens at one of her games. It was really overcast and rained a bit during the game. Of course, the Jaguars won again. Will scored 2 and Ian scored 1. Em didn't score tonight but did make a couple of nice saves to maintain the shutout.

Ready for kickoff

Oops... forgot the ball

Playing a little D

I took this one thinking "Here's the boring part for Emma" but the White team got off 2 or 3 shots that Emma had to save.

Here's one of the saves

Good form, but she really should be standing behind the line

Taking a corner kick. I think it was the first one she's taken and it could have been a little better. She kicked it back out of bounds!

Halloween party

We had our 2nd Annual Halloween Party tonight with what seemed like 250 kids over... Here are some pictures. After the party our stupid garbage disposal broke. So that took 2 hours to get fixed and now I'm too annoyed to type anything positive about the party.

Zombies were in luck... Melissa made Brain Cupcakes.

Paige wrapped it up early since she wasn't feeling too great

The youngster version of High School Musical Chairs

Will looks really proud of Jenpoleon Dynamite

Em got one in the bobbing for apples portion of the party

Soph tried really hard, but I think she had to use her hands in the end

But still, an apple is an apple

Paige got her face painted and then painted a pumpkin

Em painted "blood" on Mo's chin

Soph needed some consolation after she got put out in the final round of musical chairs

Witchey Poo

We had to let Sophia try on her witch costume before bed tonight...

Saturday

We went to watch Ethan's game this morning. They had a pretty good game but only 5 of the kids showed up so they played short and got tired out pretty quickly. I took a couple of pictures of our girls playing around during the game. After the game we all took totally sweet naps. Then it was off to the airport for me, Sophia and Paige so we could pick up Nanny. This is the first year since we moved to Florida that she'll be able to see the fruits of her costume making labor during Halloween. While we went to the airport, Melissa and Emma were volunteering at the Edgewater Elementary Carnival. Since the weather kind of stunk the stuff was all moved inside. Lame! WE stopped by for a minute to say hi on the way back from the airport and now we're all home and ready to fall asleep again. Double lame!

These were both taken with my awesome new lens. I got a deal on eBay and then the dope I bought it from took 6 days to send it, but it finally got here yesterday afternoon.

Sophia was running around everywhere during the game. I didn't get any pictures of Paige since she was bundled into Melissa's lap (and sweatshirt) since she's milking her recent illness.

Another Holiday, Another Toilet Full of Vomit

Today is a Teacher Duty Day so we are at home preparing for our Halloween Party. Em was helping me clean while she was dressed up as a vet. She had to keep leaving to check on her patients. Yesterday the third and final Halloween costume arrived. Soph was thrilled! Em also got her pink vet's outfit, complete with bag and Paige got a chef's outfit. I'll just prepare you all now so you won't expect any pics from their school parade....St Paul's is not doing a Halloween day this year because it might offend someone. Mike and I are pretty pissed and no it's not because we celebrate the night of the devil or whatever they are calling it. Instead they are having a lame fall festival day on Nov 1 where the kids wear pajamas. Now, I asked the school director, what sense does it make to wear pajamas to a fall festival? Why aren't they dressing up as farmers or the like. I mean, if you ever thought to actually question the parents you might actually get some good ideas. Anyway, I could go on, but I'd like to just get past it! Oh, but in order to celebrate my beliefs for next week I'm considering dressing the kids up everyday!

A pink vet! Thanks Nannie for the wonderful costume! We have already received several comments (and requests) on it!

I was doing laundry and somebody decided to nap on my pile!

Here's the puker. In case you don't know Paige....her M.O. is to get sick on any and every holiday. She is in her chef's outfit trying to eat some rice.

Sophi is practicing her smile for Sunday's portrait with nannie. What do think?

Busy week...

We had soccer games for Emma on Monday and Tuesday this week so we haven't been getting much else done. Melissa went to a dance thing tonight. I don't have the details but I'm sure she'll post about it later! You know how she loves dance... One of the peeps she teaches with is involved with the NSB High School dance group so Melissa's up there right now watching them perform.

I made a new grey photo backdrop today and after bath it was time to try it out...

I made her smile without showing the teeth, since there's a big gap in there. Her top teeth are getting loose now, too. I need to work out a better arrangement for hanging the backdrops.

Em on her way to score! Red won this game and the Tuesday night game to stay undefeated. Since we've now played all of the other teams, we can be sure that we are the only team that's won every game. Boo yah! She had one goal in this game and none in the other game. By the way, the other game was against the Light Blue team, and they have a couple of really dirty players. Nice job teaching them to be tools at age 6, coach! Doesn't matter, Red still spanked them. As a matter of fact, Will had one super hard shot and the light blue team goalie didn't even have time to react before it nailed him right in the face. It's too bad he wasn't one of the bad kids, but it still made me feel better.

Em on another breakaway, but she didn't score this time.

Happy Almost Halloween!

The girls got some new outfits from Grandma this past weekend so of course they put them on first thing Monday. Sophi has lots of Halloween shirts and has worn one almost every day of the month!

She Shoots, She Scores!

Well, Morgie is gone but I have a couple more pics of her time here. First, she shares one of her many bowls of cereal with Bauer. Morgie loves cereal! And so does Kitty!

After we went running Sunday morning, Morgan helped me moved our hockey table from grandma's garage to our fireplace room. The room has been cleared out since the yard sale and since it was a rainy day we had nothing else to do! The girls were so excited to have it back. It has been sitting in the garage for 3 years! I'm sure grandma is happy to have it moved as well!

Sophi schools Morgie.

Em cheers on Paige.

Air hockey and cheeseburgers

Today was pretty lazy. It was rainy so we stayed inside most of the day. Melissa did go down and bring the pieces of the air hockey table home so I set that back up . We freed up some space with that yard sale so the kids are happy to have air hockey to play again. Melissa thinks she's happy about it, but once I start playing against her and beating her every time we'll see how she likes it.

Morgan flew back to school today so on the way to drop her at the airport we stopped and had some dinner at Cheeburger Cheeburger. Nice! Then Melissa and I got a milkshake to go for sharing on the ride home. Coming up next we have my mom arriving on Saturday for a week and then Melissa's dad comes down right after that for just under a week, so it's been visitor central here lately. I think just after Thanksgiving I have to go to Antigua for a week or three for work, but that is still kind of up in the air. Em has soccer games Monday and Tuesday night this week and I think Melissa is working every day, so it will be a busy week. Don't forget to e-mail any complaints about a lack of updates to Melissa...

Saturday game

The weather wasn't too great for the game today. It started raining just before we started and since I'm a wimp about my camera it stayed in the camera bag after the rain started. I did take a team picture before the game since we had the entire team there. There were a couple of kids who missed the official picture day so we were able to get them into today's shots.

As far as the game went, it was kind of a tough one, but the Jaguars still won. Em scored the first goal of the game and then Will scored for a 2-1 final tally.

Happy Birthday to Mom!

Today Mom moved one year closer to collecting Social Security. She is very excited. We went out to dinner and came back for a beautiful cake and great presents. The girls were also very excited to give her their presents that they picked out all by themselves from Target. Greg and I got her a blender that she has been wanting for awhile and a bike computer so she can start keeping track of her miles. The girls were very proud of the pony card they picked out for her...

Hey yall! Britney also came to my mom's birthday party!

Damn that looks good!

Teacher's Pet

Morgan's in town in case you didn't know. She arrived late last night and the girls were super excited to wake up to her. This afternoon she and Paige buckled down and finished up all the homework that is due on Friday. Paige really enjoyed the one-on-one tutoring!

No Kitty Kitty! BAD Kitty Kitty!

So much for the new pet bed! When I got home from work yesterday, this is what I found!
