Forgot to post these pics of Em's school's Storybook Parade to celebrate literacy week. Each grade level comes dressed as a character from a book they have been reading. Last year, if you remember, it was the Very Hungry Caterpillar. This year it is Try Your Best. A story about sports. Luckily, Em had her soccer uniform all ready! I was so happy to not have to work this day because this parade is so much fun! All the kids march thru the school parking lot and if you are smart enough (like me) you just hop back and forth from spot to spot and you can catch a pic of your kid several times! The parking lot consists of several loops so if you start in one spot you can jump over the curb by the time they come around. Ok, enough about the parking lot! The school also invites the middle school marching band and they happen to rock. Of course, I love almost all marching bands....
There is Em in the red shirt. By the way, this was like THE coldest day of the year, about 3 weeks ago and since then it has been 90 degrees every day! Ok, I lie a little. Today it was 75 and absolutely gorgeous! Em's teacher is a few behind her with the white sweatshirt and hat.

Poor Em was freezing and had left her coat in her classroom. I don't even have a coat and I had on my sweatshirt that was NOT keeping me warm.

I have Em a windbreaker that I had on, it was mom's and it was paperthin. Hopefully it helped a little.
