Happy June 30th!

Tonight we went to the fireworks display, as already mentioned below, and saw quite a show! We arrived in the nick of time and Katie and Matt shortly after us.

Here Grandma and the girls check out their glow in the dark jewelery.

Believe it or not, I did do my hair. Not sure why, since this is what it turns to once I get all sweaty! Don't matter, still sexy! My fav classic pose...

This is Matt yall! I know a little about him. He works at the hospital with Katie, I believe he is from Boston and he likes tattoos. Consider yourself blogged!

NSB Fireworks

We went up to see the NSB Fireworks tonight. The pics from last year were okay, but this year (thanks to Mo) I have a tripod, so these are much better. I've put the whole album up so you can see them here:

Melissa was in charge of the pics of the girls and whatever else she may have wanted to capture, so she'll put some stuff up later.

We Have a Nice Little Saturday Planned...

Today was nice and relaxed. We took a bike ride, Em is still trying to ride a bike without training wheels so she wants to practice more. Then we swam, napped and now we are preparing to go to FIREWORKS!!! Yeah, and for an extra bonus.....don't be jealous...we get to meet Katie's "friend," Matt!! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! I think I am among the last few people that Katie knows who has not met him yet. In preparation, we all did our hair!! The girls even got a haircut!

She's got crazy eyes. One look at you and she can't disguise....

This one couldn't hold still and is now sad....

EW, Talk about unflattering. Hey it's all right yall....I'm keeping it real....Oh, and I hadn't done my hair yet!

Looks like someone got ahold of my camera!

Another Day, Another Beach, well actually the same beach

Morgie loved the inlet so much that we went back Monday, this time taking Katie, mom and Kiki. We stayed for hours and I ended up with a great sunburn. Morgie convinced me to wear my bikini and for some reason I thought that it would be a great idea to show my belly the sun, since it hadn't seen the sun in 15 years or so. Luckily for my belly, we had the beach to ourselves so my belly didn't have to move over and share with anyone. We had so much fun with Morgan the entire time she was here. She will be starting college in August and I am trying to convince her to move down here during the summer! We took her to the airport today after spending the night at a Disney resort. I was very sad to see her go. We got along great and seemed to share a lot of the same opinions and of course we both have a great sense of humor! Love you Morgie!

Em found a sand dollar the first day and threw it back in the water when I started to exclaim about what a find it was. She thought I was going to say it was something scary! Anyway, Paige found one on Monday and gave it to Em to be photographed with. I told Em that it was pretty cool that they each found one because I had never found one in my entire life.

2 sexy babes!

3 sexy babes! I was not trying to cut Katie out, but it is hard to take a pic of 3 people with your own arm!

The girls took Kiki on walks up and down the beach.

Extreme close up!
Kiki thoroughly enjoyed the sand and hardly came into the water.

We pretty much had the beach to ourselves this day. That is the Ponce Inlet with the Lighthouse in the background.

All my girlz from the hood.

Are you sick of this pose yet or is it still cute?

Pretending to surf on this log...getting ready to strike "the pose."

Fun In The Sun!

*Post Explicit Photo Here*
Yeah, that means that I took a photo of my burnt rear but Mike suggested kindly that I might not want to post it. I put lotion on everywhere that faces the sun but today at the Awesome Beach Morgo and I laid with our butts to the sun and mine took in a little too much. Hopefully Morgan will post pics that I took on her camera. We went to the inlet and had the whole beach to ourselves for 50 yards in either direction! We played with the girls for hours (they did not burn!) and walked up to the jetty and had snacks. It was a wonderful day. After that we swam for hours in mom's pool and she even ordered us a pizza! Mike cooked Morgan and I a sweet chicken (turkey) philly sub and then Morge and I took the girls into the backyard and schooled them in lacrosse. To finish up the night we watched Deja Vu with Denzel. Pretty good. I mean, even his bad movies are entertaining.

Night Swim

The girls decided tonight was a good night for a swim, so we headed over and got in the pool at around 8:00. We just got back and here are a few pictures of the girls enjoying the night swim.

Pool Party!

When we started our drive home from VA the girls immediately started talking about having some girlfriends over to swim. So today we had a pool party at mom's house with a few of the girls from school. Paige had said over and over that she didn't like school and never wants to go. But now that she has been out for a few weeks she is really missing her classmates. They each got to pick a few friends to invite and most of them showed up so it was a full house! We had a great time and everyone brought lunches and my friend Melissa brought over tons of Chik-Fil-A nugs so I was loving life! The kids swam for at least 3 hours, barely leaving to eat some lunch before jumping right back in.

In this pic I wanted Soph to model her swim coverup...but of course she wouldn't. So when she was pretending to be my doggie I told her that since she was MY puppy I could dress her up how I wanted. I put the cover up on her and held her up for a pic. That is why she is standing all goofy!

Olivia and Soph.

Becky and Gigi from Em's class.

All the girls followed Melissa out to the deep end (not me...another Melissa), she is in the red suit.

Olivia was so cute I snapped her up.

Hey Yall! We're At the Seaside Festival!

My fav new time of year is when this festival comes to town....want to know why? The fabulous GRAN AREPA!!! That is what Morgan is eating, a delicious pancake made of corn and filled with mozzeralla. Not sure why she is making that silly face but it made me laugh!

Sitting on the wall watching the tumblers. Em is pretty sure she could not get out there in front of the crowd to perform. I think Paige might be able to give it a go.

Their fav part of the festival...I let them eat cotton candy for dinner! Notice Sophi's lollipop appetizer....

Headed out of town, almost done with the festival....

Some Random Pics.....

My garden got gigantic while I was gone. The cantelope to the far right has spread out everywhere and I had to pull half of it out. My tomato plant is very tall and has several grape tomatos on it that should be ready in a week or so. The broccoli, kind of in the middle, has really filled out! I have a couple of little peppers, not in the pic....Paige "accidentally" picked one that was no where near ready. My beans, also not in the pic, are about 3 feet tall. The rest of that stuff is squash, zucchini and cucumber. It is doing ok, not very big or anything.

Soph and Black Cat take in a quick game of Shrek Dr.

The newest tankini models. Thanks Nannie for the suits, they fit sooooo well and everyone loves them!

Sorry MoChop, didn't mean to cut your head off but I was trying to zoom in on that wedgie!

I also grew catnip in the garden. Yesterday the girls went and picked some to give to our cats because in VA Uncle Greg let them give it to their cats. As you can see, they really enjoyed it!

Happy Birthday Tyler!!!

Today Tyler turns 14. These are the best pics I could come up with! Tyler was born the year before I left for college so it seems I didn't not see him that often growing up and therefore did not take lots of pics like I did of his sis! Either way....what a cutie!!! Of course now, he is 6 feet tall and has dark brown hair! Hope you had a great day! Love you lots!

One More Pic from the party. All the kids enjoyed an ice cream sundae. Nannie had just about every topping you could think of. I think all the girls went back for seconds. Becca and Paige got along great, they are only a few weeks apart.

Don't You Worry.....

We Made It Home!! After another 12 hour drive we are finally back home and my house is just about back to normal after a full day of cleaning! The bathroom looks so good! I can't believe how big it looks now that the vanity and toilet are so smaller. Now if we could just afford a new tub!

Our last few days up north were nice and relaxing. Friday we went to IKEA and spent a few bucks buying neat stuff that we can't usually find anywhere else. For example, I got a huge string of lights in the shape of big green leaves! I know! COOL! The girls all got new night-lights that are squishy ghosts and you push on their head and they "glow."

Saturday, Nannie threw us a party and we got to see a bunch of the Eagneys. Her parties are always a lot of fun so I'm glad she got us all together. My friend Bridget drove up to the party as well and brought her kids to play. After the big crowd left we played a game of pop cranium and got to see Mike dance like J-Lo so that was especially entertaining.

Sunday we packed up and left Maryland to drive to VA. It was hard to say goodbye. I hate saying them and dragging them out because then I start to cry. So we said goodbye quickly and jumped in the car. Once we got to Va we stoppped at a park and set off some father's day rockets. We had this huge pink rocket that we set off 3 times. Mike has the pics on his camera so he will have to post those at a later date. Later on we went to my Dad's house and played around before going to dinner together.

Monday we got up early and left by 8am. Our drive was uneventful, thankfully! The girls slept for about 3 hours, waking up at 11am and staying awake almost the whole rest of the time. They did very well in the car and Soph was the only one who kept asking if we were in "Slorida" yet.

Nannie and the girls made cookies for us. Em spent more than half her nights at Nannie's house.

(Mike's) Uncle Matt and his two boys Kyle and Steve. Hopefully they will be visiting us in August. How cute are those boys? I'm sure they loved me calling them cute!

Dad and the girls at the restaurant on Father's Day.

Soph and Jaden couldn't stop hugging. (That's Bridget's son)

Bridget and I in Nannie's backyard. Not the most flattering of pics but at least Em shot from the chest up like I told her!

It's a zoo out there...

We drove out to the National Zoo on Thursday. The weather was awesome for an outdoor day. Nanny and Kathy went with us and the girls had a really good time. Em liked the reptile house while Paige and Sophia really liked the Pandas. My favorite was the gorillas. I think Melissa liked the Amazonia exhibit. Then today we went and picked up some good stuff at Ikea. The girls are all spending the night with Nanny tonight and we are going out there for a cookout tomorrow. I've put the all the pictures up on a web album with Picasa that you can view here:
