The old sink and vanity plus a bunch of broken ceramic tile are in that box. I'm not taking out the toilet until I have to, since the house will fill with deadly poo gas from the sewers if there's no trap on the drain. So that's still in there. To get this all done I have to get the new floor put down tomorrow night after work so the tile will have time to set. Then I have to put the new vanity and toilet in over the next night or so. If I can't manage that then the girls will have no bathroom when they get back from their trip!
I don't really have a lens that will take a picture in the tiny bathroom that shows anything in there. I tried the "hotel brochure" angle and stood on the tub holding the camera up in the corner, but the bathroom is just to small. Or I should buy a wider lens. If Melissa will authorize the purchase I'll go get one and then I can post bathroom pictures.
I was chiseling out more of the old floor tile tonight and a chunk flew off and sliced my knee open. It was bleeding a lot and wouldn't stop because I was still crawling around on the floor cracking tiles. Then I realized it was also not likely to stop bleeding becuase the little piece of ceramic was embedded in my knee. I dug that out and ow it seems pretty good. So I'm giong to take my dinner break and then when that cut has scabbed up nice I'll go rip out some more tile, which is a much bigger pain than I thought it would be. A guy I work with recommended I rent this machine from Home Depot that is electric and does all the work for you. You don't even have to get down on the floor, it has handles and you just push it where you want to go. I was too smart for that though. I bought a $4 floor chisel and a 2 lb sledgehammer and crawled around like an idiot with ceramic pieces cutting me up. Nice one!
