Today we got to go shopping for Morgie's graduation present. I am very practical so I took her to KMart and bought her stuff for her dorm room. After that we stopped in for a surprise visit to Nannie's work, since it was next to KMart! She was thrilled and the girls were so happy to see her they didn't want to leave. Next, we went to the Harbor Center and met mom and visited a couple of stores before eating lunch at Chevy's! YUM. I am slowly (quickly?) marking off visiting all my favorite restaurants while on vacation. Thanks to Stephanie for a great lunch (and dinner since I just finished my leftovers!). A stop by my Dad's office was next. I have been going to my Dad's office since I was Em's age so visiting there is very sentimental to me. I think my dad has been there longer than anyone so everyone knows him and has seen pics of his beautiful grandchildren! I got to see a couple of people that have known me since I was about 8 (around when I started visiting). Everyone was so nice to us and couldn't stop commenting on how beautiful the girls were, so of course my head swelled a bit! The girls got to meet some real judges and then asked to be locked up in a holding cell. Unfortunately we couldn't get into the courtroom to take pics of them on the witness stand, maybe next time! Dad, Greg and I made plans to meet Tuesday morning to ride the Metro to DC and walk around town for a bit.
Once we got back to Greg's we HAD to take the girls to his pool because that is all they have been begging to do since we got in the car to drive here! You'd think with all the swimming they do at Grandma's they would want to do something else. But no! They only swam for 45 minutes (BTW the water must have been 70 degrees!!!) before the thunder started so we raced back home. The girls ate dinner and we took a walk around the neighborhood. Em found a box turtle along the way and was so upset that she couldn't take it back to FL. She reminded me of myself at that age because I wanted to take home every I ever found. Luckily my mom and dad let me experience almost every pet I wanted. I'm not sure if Em will be so lucky...
Here we are just getting to Dad's office. The girls of course, started putting on a show of giggles!
In the other pic, Dad is showing his very impressive holepunch to the girls, as you can see they are very intrigued...
Dad shows Paige how he brings up our webpage on his work computer. We posed together outside Dad's gazillion dollar courthouse, it is super sweet, inside and out!
