We're All In This Together!

Tonight we did some heavy duty grocery shopping at the Super Walmart. It took nearly two hours and the girls got lots of treats for when I am gone on my trip. In case you hadn't heard I am leaving for Idaho Thursday afternoon. I wanted to visit my grandmother since I never got to see my grandfather before he died and I don't know if I will be able to get out there any other time. My mom was going to take care of my grandmother while Bette and Woz go on a trip so I am tagging along to help her. It is a full time job I hear, so I'm sure she can use the help. Anyway, since the girls were "so good" at Walmart they got a big dessert after dinner. We made cupcakes and they got milk with these straw things made of cereal. I thought they looked really gross, but the girls had tried them at the boys' house the other day and loved them. Gross!

Soph ate one bite of icing and then was done.

The girls love these hats that Santa got them last year. They wear them at odd times throughout the day.

After the dose of sugar, they needed to have a dance party. Today they are dancing to the new Hairspray soundtrack. I took them to see it last Sunday and they really liked all the singing and dancing in it. It was a very good movie and I highly recommend it!

Also, at Walmart the girls got their new school lunchboxes. I know this is a ritual we do with Nannie every year for the past couple of years but I was afraid that if I did not buy them now they would be gone! I went to get one for Em but the other two HAD to have them as well. Now we have to embroider their initials or something in order to tell them apart.

Little Ballerinas

We cleaned out the dress up bench the other day and separated all the ballet clothes into their own bag. The girls then all dressed up this morning and were showing me their moves in the kitchen. Nice moves. The black cat looks impressed.

Tootsie roll! Let it roll let it roll!

What do you think? Are they ready for a real class?

Sunday Pics

Sunday we met Mom and Dick at the beach bright and early. Well, WE were there early. The girls had a great time. I had an OK time, I am still fearful of getting anything in my new eyes, since I can't rub them for a few more weeks! So I stayed away from the water. We stayed for almost 3 hours. The beach got very crowded with idiot tourists. Several times, the lifeguards dashed past us to save someone. Literally, right in front of us. Pretty impressive except that they didn't actually get to save anyone. Not really sure what made them run out, I guess they thought someone was in trouble, but the actually weren't. Either way, it made me feel very safe knowing they were on the job...all muscular and fast...
Paige, what more can I say. The girl has a great pose. She couldn't be bothered to put down her breakfast milk!

Soph, not quite as posey. But this was a nice shot with the sun lighting up the water.

I tried to get a vid of Paige surfing. She was doing so great, but every time I clicked record the waves would die down. They were coming in weird sets or something! Anyway, this shot was pretty nice, she looks very serious and is concentrating on the task at hand.

Building a "bath."

Nice look!

Pics From Saturday

Saturday, as Mike already mentioned, we cleaned the garage. It looks so good now! I always feel much better after a good organizing party! I know you all would really love some pics of it. Maybe another day.....
Here are the girls, they bought some new bubble guns that were on clearance at Target. They went thru the whole bottle of bubbles in 10 minutes. They had fun though!

Never can get enough bubbles.

I had to take a break from cleaning to read a chapter of Potter. Unfortunately, Bauer had other plans for my book. Jeesh !!!! She is the cutest thing I've ever seen!

A break from the storms

We did get rain this afternoon, but no thunderstorms so that was a nice break for us. It cleared up enough after the rain for the girls to go swimming and Jen brought the boys over to play in the pool as well.

Em concentrating on the noodles

Mo and Jen

The boys in what's left of the tunnel

Em and Soph eating some Kool-Aid ice cubes

They got cold, so into the hot tub

This is Bowie back to Bowie, I read you loud and clear, man!

A giant woodpecker flew up onto the oak tree out front while I was messing with the boat this morning. I had to take a picture for the girls since they were all at the beach...

We had a nice little Saturday planned...

Paige during the bubble war

Mo hosing out the yacht

Bauer napping on while Em and Mo are at the party

** I forgot to mention... some little turd egged my car last night. I suppose this little buttwipe went down our whole street and hit whatever cars he could since our neighbors got egged as well. The little bastard hit the passenger side rear quarter panel so hard it actually screwed up my paint. **

Well, it's been a long day and it isn't over yet. Melissa took the girls to Target last night because we needed a present for Gigi. Em and Mo are at the B-Day party right now. We also ran by Home Depot and picked up a couple of things on the way back from Target so I could get some work done on the boat today.

Since we had a couple of new tools from the Depot, I decided I would start working on cleaning up the work bench while Mo was cleaning out the boat. Then when she was done I would switch over to working on the boat. We started at 9:00 this morning and we both ended up cleaning the whole garage. All day long. It was no fun at all. Although I think the girls had some fun earlier when they were shooting each other with the bubble-guns we bought them at Target. Then they all decided they wanted to help, so they shop-vac'ed and straightened up in the garage with us. I did take one break to work on the boat for about 10 minutes and put a drain in each of the battery compartments, but that was just the beginning of what I wanted to get done.

Melissa stopped around 3:00 so she could go and get herself and Em ready for the party. I just stopped at 4:30 and now that I want to finish the boat work it's going to thunderstorm. I think I'm done for the day and I'm going to shower and rest for a bit before we figure out what is going on tonight.

Bauer Enters House....Makes United States Safe for the President Once Again

Yesterday was spent mostly indoors. We let kitty inside for the first time yesterday, before Em went to art camp. The girls are having a really good time with her and Em is taking good care of her. Bauer got to join us on our ride, I figured she is such a scardy cat that I would expose her to lots of sights and sounds so she can get use to loud noises. She did great in the car, just sitting on Em's lap. The rest of the day I read a lot of Harry Potter, I still have like 450 pages left so it will take me another week probably! Bauer slept on my shoulder while I read, all tiny and curled up.

As soon as Em got home she laid in her bed with Bauer. She stayed right on that little pillow!

And of course Soph. Just wanted to pose!
The dogs were very nice to her, especially Loki.

Paige was a little too nice....

Our other cats still haven't come around yet. I'll give them another few days before they like her.

Boda is begging her to get off my legs so she can chase her!

Soph took this one of Bauer and I snugglin'.

One more

He's gotten so popular that he decided to do a song about the internet too.

Never gonna

You should also check this guys other videos out on Youtube. Chocolate Rain is his big hit.

Cinderella, Cinderella, Night and Day It's Cinderella!

Did I ever mention I have the best daughters in the world? We got home from swimming yesterday to start making dinner and the girls just walked in and started unloading my dishwasher for me. I mean, I didn't even have to ask them! I had to take a pic of them because they were working so hard together.

In other news, the last two days have been spent working at the preschool. The kids are pretty bad there this summer and I'm hoping that things will turn around once they are age-separated again in the fall. Yesterday was very nice because I had no kids to take with me so I rode my bike to work. I rode along the river with dolphins swimming next to me. It was picture perfect, except I did not have my camera! I left the house at 645am and it took about 20 minutes. The school is only 4 miles or so away. Today, though, I had to drive because I had all 3 girls with me. Thanks to a scholarship from Grandad, Em is going to art camp again this week so we dropped her off in the morning. She is having a great time again and seems very happy. I think she is learning about printing and "movement." She has a hard time explaining the movement but I guess they just are moving their bodies to the music with slow deliberate type moves. She likes it, so I'm happy. Right now, Paige and Soph are making blueberry cobbler with the grandma and I am trying to build up an appetite to go eat it! Unfortunately it is so hot out today that I don't feel very hungry...Oh well, I'm sure that will turn around once I sniff it!

Pool Day!

Today we went to Grandma's to meet Aunt Stef and Dara. Dara was quite entertaining. She kept trying to put on the snorkel mask by just balancing it on her face!

These two are just over one year apart.

Jesus, I just realized that Paige looks just like Wonky Eye Paris in this pic! Not that beautiful Paige is anywhere near as disturbing as Ms. Hilton!

Um, yeah. Soph wanted to pose as well. So, there you have it.

Me, reading, with NO glasses! Jen bought me Harry Potter for my birthday in March, it arrived on Saturday. I have only read about 60 pages, due to all my daily distractions, but the beginning is SO good.
Just a couple more pics from MY camera of the nasty caterpillar. As you can see with the help of my assistant, the thing was as big as her hand!

Coming at ya!

Pics for Nannie!

Here are some really beautiful pics Mike took with his fisheye. This one might have to go on the nature wall...

Yellow ones.

And red ones.

Wildlife in Florida Never Ceases to Amaze

Are you disgusted right now? Ok, if you aren't yet, just let me tell you...that cute "little" caterpillar was BIGGER than my middle finger! And when it fell to the ground it sounded like someone dropped a shoe.

The girls found this charming fellow in our garage. Guess I won't go barefoot out there anymore. Can you imagine squishing this with your foot? That's his head by the way.

His head was especially beautiful....as beautiful as a tick full of blood.

Sleep Out!

The girls have been dying to play with the kitten. We have been keeping them away since she is in quarantine. With only 2 days left in the quarantine we figured it was safe, she wasn't going to die of rabies. So they played with her all day Sunday and wanted to sleep out on the porch with her too. We had to pull Sophi's mattress out there too since we couldn't all fit on the blow-up. Sophi kept me up during the night because she kept wanting to sleep on the blow-up. It was a rough night (for me anyway!).

The girls settled down with a movie. Bauer watches from the background. She is finally laying out on a little mat. She has been sleeping on the grill which looks very uncomfortable.

Paige wore her winter pjs. She quickly realized her mistake and started undressing.

Watching the little portable.
