Today we took Soph to the new Dr for her 3yo checkup. I really miss our old Dr! This one is OK, but they made me wait two months to get her checkup so they are already on my s-list! Paige answered all the questions that the Dr. was asking Sophia so it started getting awkward. Then I answered the Dr. when she asked where we lived because I honestly thought she was asking me! I think she was about to kick Paige and I out of the room. After she sent us on our way I took the girls to Chik filet for lunch. Soph really likes it so it was her checkup treat. Paige on the other hand took over an hour to eat ONE delicious nugget! You'd think the girl would be starving since we walked 2 miles and swam for an hour this morning. After lunch we rested a bit while we watched SHAQ'S BIG CHALLENGE. Are you still watching it Morgie? I love the show and I wish it was on every night. I'm slowly becoming a Shaq fan even though he is not loved in this household by some people. Shaq is very funny and just wants these kids to get healthy but their parents keep feeding them cheeseburgers and pizzas every night. Ooops, hold on...my ice cream cone is dripping. Anyway, watch the show!
At 2 we headed over to pick Em up from camp. Instead of getting a nice greeting she jumped all over Paige because Paige was wearing her belt. So I had to pry them apart and start yelling. So embarrassing! I rushed them into the car and we went over to the blood place because Soph had orders to get her urine and iron levels tested. I told the poor child it would just be a finger prick, that's how our old Dr's office did it. But no, they full out drew blood. The phlebotymist had a hard time finding her tiny vein because Soph couldn't/wouldn't squeeze her fist hard enough. After she thought she found it she plunged the needle in but it didn't go into the vein. So while the needle is in her arm the phlebotymist is digging around (gently) to get into the vein! Soph didn't even bat an eyelash! We adults were both amazed and grateful.
Now we just got back from Blockbuster and are all set to watch "The Last Mimzy" tonight with daddy.
Em covered Soph's bandage with stickers from the blood place. Bo is very interested in the smells we picked up while we were there....and believe me....there were a lot of smells there.
