The World's Hottest Pepper!

As our days become increasingly boring I am running out of things to post about. Most days we sleep til 9 or so, even the girls, by then it is too hot to do anything so we kind of putter around the house. Em asks me a million different times to do some different project. This morning she wanted to know if we could have a yard sale today. We have slowly been setting stuff aside to sell, but I am no where near ready. Last night we put the girls to bed and Mike and I started watching Ghost Rider with Nic Cage. Two minutes later the girls were out of bed and acting all goofy saying they really wanted to watch the movie. So we let them. It wasn't gory because only ghosts were dying and they don't bleed. Paige said she loved it and they were talking about it when they woke up this morning. I was afraid they would have dreams of burning skeletons all night but they didn't.
So today the girls are going to see that Rat movie, the one where he wants to be a chef. Grandma and Dick are taking them so hopefully I'll get up to the dog park or something. We have had a long morning of trying to save our broccoli from these nasty caterpillars. They have devoured about every leaf on it and left disgusting poop everywhere! I haven't had any bug probs until a couple of days ago when we noticed the leaves were disappearing. Oh, by the way, all the fish are fine and the water is clear and sparkly after our 2 day downpour!

Here is Mike's first Habenero pepper. It is pretty hot, as I explained to Paige. "It didn't feel hot," she says. Em, desparately trying to gain some attention in the background. I ate my first green pepper last night, in my salad. I forgot to get a pic of it for you. It was super fresh and so crunchy!

The girls are so excited to have green beans for dinner! Sike! I have a bunch of them so I said in a few more days we would pick them and eat them. Yeah! Does anyone know how long they stay on the vine? Can I pick them now and let them sit in my fridge til I get enough for the 5 of us?

Here is my poor broccoli. If you look right in the middle, there is the first "bunch." I'm not sure when you pick it. I think I need to do some research now that everything is producing!

I have about 10 grape tomatoes that look like this. This plant is HUGE! So I have a feeling I will be eating a lot of these. I know, your thinking I don't like tomatoes. I like these little ones because they hardly have any seeds or pulp.
